Instructional Materials Adoption (IMA)

The State Board of Education (SBOE) requires that all Instructional Materials for Proclamation 2021 be made available to the public in physical, hard copy format consistent with actual materials that will be purchased and used in the classroom. Samples are only to be accessed for review purposes and may not be reproduced without the consent of the publisher.

We host an Instructional Materials Publisher Showcase annually to allow publishers with materials up for adoption in the current adoption year to showcase their products, answer questions, and provide additional information to assist districts in choosing the products that most meet their district needs. The 2021 Instructional Materials Showcase will be held virtually on Friday, February 5th from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm and is free to attend.

Digital samples may be viewed from any location by visiting the Texas Education Agency Proclamation 2021 Pre-Adoption Samples page. Beginning April 26, 2021 materials may be viewed in person at ESC Region 13 by appointment. Appointments may be scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 7:00 am – 11:30 am, and Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm. Onsite viewing availability is subject to existing Covid-19 restrictions.
