Inclusive practice is about more than just being together in the same classroom. It is an approach to teaching that recognizes the variability of students, enabling all students the opportunity to have access to, and make progress in, the general education classroom.
We'll explore best practices in inclusive education, including topics like:
- Universal Design for Learning
- Assistive and Instructional Technology
- Social Emotional Learning
- Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
- Visible Learning
The course will be a cohort model with district/school teams of up to ten people attending professional development provided by ESC Region 13. In addition, our specialists will support teams with resources, ongoing implementation, coaching, and targeted feedback. Members of the team will also have the chance to contribute at least three artifacts based on their learning from professional development.
