This is one course in a series created by the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence in partnership with the Texas Statewide Leadership for Autism Training and TEA. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Assistive Technology: Social provides information related to the common social barriers for individuals with ASD, the features of technology that may support these common barriers, and assistive technology tools that may contain features that support social competence in individuals with ASD.

Presenters

Jan Rogers is currently the Program Director of the OCALI Assistive Technology Center. She is an occupational therapist and is also a RESNA certified ATP who has worked in a variety of agencies serving the needs of individuals with disabilities for over 30 years.

Wendy Szakacs has been working with persons with disabilities for twenty-three years while specializing in autism for the past sixteen years. She is presently employed as the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) Regional Consultant for Autism and Low Incidence for Northeast /eastern Ohio.
