Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is a federal law passed in 2015 that governs the United States K-12 public education policy. ESSA is complex and touches multiple areas of public education while affecting public school policy related to four key groups:
- Students in poverty
- Migrant students
- Students who receive special education
- Those with limited English language skills
We support most areas of the Every Student Succeeds Act, including Title I topics like school improvement, parent and family engagement, migrant education, and at-risk youth; Title II efforts for teacher recruitment and training, along with supporting effective instruction in all of our workshops and online courses; Title III’s focus on English learners and immigrant students; Title IV support for charter schools and 21st-century schools; Title V help with rural schools' education and support for Title IX for homeless education among many others.
